Psychosocial factors that we are interested in range from socioeconomic status, lifestyle, sleep and depression to working environments/conditions. Health outcomes that we are focused on include neurodegenerative, psychiatric, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, as well as brain structural and functional changes, mortality, and drug use.

A new research line is to identify psychosocial working environments that can promote longer working lives.

Research projects

  • Psychosocial stress over the working career and cognitive dysfunction
  • Growing older, working longer: the role of working conditions
  • Are brain structure and functional connectivity later in life influenced by midlife psychosocial work stress?
