SLEIPNER, a statistical package

SLEIPNER is a statistical package that has been developed within the division by Lars Bergman and Bassam El-Khouri (El-Khouri has also written the program code).

The package, which is a freeware, is now used in many countries and it can be used for carrying out a variety of person-oriented analyses, for instance different kinds of cluster analyses, configural frequency analysis, the exact analysis of cross-tabulations, imputation, and so on.

SLEIPNER can be downloaded from www.psychology.su.se/sleipner/ but it should be noted that a more advanced use of the package demands knowledge of person-oriented methodology. It is then helpful to read, for instance, Bergman, L. R., Magnusson, D., & El-Khouri, B. M. (2003). Studying individual development in an interindividual context. Erlbaum.
